Going to keep this quick as I have “a day” ahead of me, but today is the day that I am having my right hip replaced. You can watch the quick video above to get a little insight as to what happened in “Becoming Bionic - Phase 1” when I had my left hip replaced in early ‘21.
I’m cautiously optimistic about my recovery from the right hip but also know I have a lot of work to do to get to where I want to be.
Doing all of the things.
Hiking.
Traveling.
Lifting weights.
Doing day-to-day activities without discomfort.
You know. Prepare myself to Go Long… see what I did there? ;-)
I’ll take well wishes from near and far, but if you’re near and you’re up for a walk around Green Lake (no driving for 6 weeks), let me know. I’ll also be posting videos on what I’m doing to strengthen my hips, glutes, back and core during rehab on Instagram and YouTube, so follow along on those channels.
Thanks to all of you for spending your time with Go Long and supporting what I’m trying to build here. It isn’t always easy but it’s been rewarding. This is what I want to be doing and I’m always thankful for the likes, comments and DMs you send my way.
LFG!
