FFS: Quick Ask and Taking a Breath
Challenge: Try and take a break from the news, if you're not already.
Client Win This Week
“Work is crazy. Found time to hit the gym early 3 times this week! Win!”
Quick Ask Please
I would greatly appreciate your help with a quick, less-than-5-minute survey to gather your input on the topics you'd like Go Long to cover. My aim is to tailor content that interests you and to deliver it in the most convenient formats. The survey is completely anonymous unless you choose to provide your email at the end.
Challenge of the Week
I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely fried from the events of the past week in the US. Every day has felt like a true “FFS” moment. Regardless of where you’re at on the political spectrum, this has been a rough week.
I pride myself on staying up on current events and normally that isn’t a bad thing. But this past month has certainly tested me.
So my challenge to you (AND TO ME!) is to take a break from the news to get outside more than normal. Take a break from the TV, web and/or social media. If you have to post for work reasons, like I do, just get in and get out as quickly as possible.
Go Long in the Wild!
This week, Go Long was fortunate to have Miya Nazzaro of Nazzaro PLLC come on the show. We had a live Q&A with subscribers on legal considerations for women 40+ covering both personal and professional topics.
With women starting businesses more than ever before as well as women tending to outlive men, Miya was able to frame complex problems into approachable solutions for you to discuss with your attorney, tax professional and/or financial planner.
If you’re interested in the recording, please click here and you’ll get it once I finish with post-production work.

How Constantly Dieting Leads to Burnout
This week, I talked about how constant dieting has a negative impact on your hormones.
Dieting, especially extreme or restrictive diets, can be mentally and physically exhausting. The constant need to monitor food intake and resist cravings can lead to feelings of deprivation, frustration, and fatigue. This exhaustion often leads to burnout, making it difficult to stick to the diet and resulting in a return to old eating habits. It also exacerbates the “guilt” and/or “I’ve been good or bad” mindsets, neither of which are healthy.
Myth Monday
This week’s Myth Monday was about intermittent fasting and if it is the right solution for your health and wellness goals. As always, please talk with a licensed medical professional before embarking on any wellness program.
Thank you for spending time with Go Long. Your feedback and comments are always welcomed and appreciated.
Have a great weekend and get outside!
PS — My apologies for FFS being a day late. I've been focused on updating my offering and my site so I just lost track of what day it was.
